Humberto Chavira’s father originally purchased the Elco and handed it down to him as a graduation gift back in 1995. Since then, he’s added a 350ci small-block with a COMP Thumpr camshaft, an Edelbrock manifold, and a Holley mixer. For the long hauls, a 700-R4 overdrive transmission with a TCI Automotive 3,500-stall converter was installed. Rounding out the package is a set of Boss 338 18-inch rollers on all four corners and his shine of choice: BMW Silver over a Jet Black and Fire Engine Red pinstripe that separates the color combination. Additional body mods include the shaved door handles, side marker lights, mirrors, emblems, and moldings.
